Auto-thermal Wastewater Sludge Drying and Pyrolysis with PFAS removal

Auto-thermal continuous and fully automated process.
HECLA Setores 1.000 treats 4000 tonnes dewatered sludge annually. The sludge volume is reduced 10 times.
The biochar is PFAS and PAH free and generates 250 €/tonnes in income.
The process regains 2 GWh of thermal energy annually and reduce the carbon footprint of sludge management with ca. 4000 tonnes CO2e per year.
Phosphorus is recycled in plant available form in a biochar with strong water holding capacity.
